They had the closest thing to a fully functional NZ skate forum but it has fallen from grace thanks maybe to their members dropping off and growing up or maybe because of their mildly paedophilic habit of indoctrinating impressionable young New Zealand boys into the ways of unremarkable mid-90s Brits.
If only Johnny Agnew was still in business, he was one of the best filmers NZ has ever had, and is one of the four Kiwis who can actually put a skate vid together. Like this one:

So the guys over at swish manoeuvres decided they would send a video to the Berrics, Younited nations competition.
What the fuck were they thinking? Not much by the looks of things.
Who ever films these things thinks he's living inside a faux transworld video world.
And come on now, do you really think they could compete against the thousands of good enough be pro but only have shop sponsors shredders in the states? Simple answer no.

The only redeeming feature is the snippets of Brett Band.
His backside smith at High st square is fucking sick.
I know every man needs his jewels, but every man does NOT need to skate in a leather jacket and sun glasses.
In general swish needs to stop trying to get so day in the lifey and so emo on all that shit. You guys just live and skate in NZ, you are not a American pro's.

Thrasher sells out and Antihero buddies up

So thrasher have teamed up with converse. I'm not sure how i feel about this. Don't get me wrong Converse has an amazing team, but its just another giant corporate trying to legitimise themselves by snatching up a bunch of sick pros and ams. Just like Nike.
Both, however, have put out two amazing skate videos. Debacle was awesome.
The new thrasher/cons colabo is pretty damn good too, with appearances from Ethan Fowler and Nick Trapasso. I'm always stoked to see any Ethan Fowler and he rips in this part. Trapasso has his best part since suffer the joy, and now was just fuckin boring. And non cons related parts from Andrew Allen and Emanual Guzman are fuckin sick as shit.
Probably the best skating i've seen from the mildly overweight Allen. Same goes for Guzman.
Antihero also put the latest beauty and the beast tour vid out. As you can tell by the name of the blog I'm a fan.
The video is sick. I'm not into the dog eating out miorana's mouth scene though. Yuck.

Just terrible

I just saw the dead daily what ever video posted up at Manual. It is just plain terrible. Karl Truell has a few insanely gnarly moments though, actually more than a few. The nosegrind he does on that giant wooden hand rail is pretty fucking impressive. But over all way too many "crazy" alcoholic antics and bull shit strewn through out the video. Whats wrong with just straight up skating?
If i were you i would just watch this instead

first real post. Dave Read of manual fame said it best " I'm very confident that gold watch is the finest NZ video to date". Drunk or not i'm in favour of believing that particular comment.

Awesome video all round. Matt West, Rush Fay and Dan Kirchers parts being my favourites.

Dans queen st lines are reminiscent of eastern exposure or rich mahogany raddness.

Rush was especially surprising. Just effortless sick skating, it pissess me off seeing dudes skate like that just cos i skate my brains out yet still struggle with the basics. Fuck you Rush Fay.
